The Blogging Dead: "Clear"

This week on "The Walking Dead"

My mind is BLOWN!  This was a majorly intense episode, I almost teared up.  Rick, Michonne, and Carl returned to Rick's hometown.  They were on a quest for artillery, but their adventure was interrupted by the return of Morgan!  Who was expecting that twist?  The last time we saw Morgan was the pilot episode (like I know the real significance of this..)  

But for serious - Morgan showed up unexpectedly, masked and pointing a sniper rifle at the crew, Michonne tried to play hero by climbing up on top of the building he was on (faster than I can blink, what?) to slice him with her machete, but in the end Kill Shot Carl guns him down (but don't worry, Morgan had a vest on so he didn't die).  Once gunned down Rick unmasked the man to find that it was Morgan, so he had to stay and help him.

As soon as they all get Morgan inside, Rick wants to stay and wait for him to regain consciousness and Carl wants to take a little field trip - meaning get a crib and a picture of his mom (for his baby sister of course.)  But Rick did not want Carl going off alone, so he sent Michonne along.  Why though?  I thought Rick wanted to use this time to "get inside her head," but he just sends her off with his son to get a crib and a picture, oh, and some random rainbow giraffe?  I guess it was good though, because Michonne proved her loyalty to the group and showed how awesome she is - power to the woman, I kind of want to be her.  

Rick of course waits for Morgan to wake up, and when he does BAM!  He stabs Rick, stabs him!  What the freak is going on?  Morgan is crazy - then again, he did lose his wife and son (something about them turning into zombies?) and he is all alone in this town.  Since Rick is the man and all, being stabbed in the shoulder didn't really affect him.  Morgan finally realizes that it is Rick (not some zombie with Rick's face)  but blames Rick for what has happened.

Anyway, Morgan doesn't want to go back with the crew, so Rick, Carl, and Michonne return to the prison with the artillery they came for.  Did I mention that the show started with a guy running down the middle of the road wanting help?  Yeah, they drove by and didn't help him - you can't trust anyone in a zombie apocalypse!  On their way back, the guy was dead, killed by zombies.  But the random traveler had a perfectly good backpack that the crew couldn't just leave in the middle of the road, so they picked it up.  They were just using their resources, right?

Go watch this episode!  I must say, I am way more into this than I thought I would be.  It is intense!  Go. Partake.  Enjoy.  Trust me.  Good thing we aren't in a zombie apocalypse yet - you can still trust me AND my "mad Michonne skills" haven't come out yet - but be prepared!
